Missionaries in Training
Project 1:10 and the MIT Program as Part of the Church Planting Ministry in the former Soviet Union
The evangelical churches of the former Soviet Union are committed to...
|
...planting new
churches. Project 1:10, where believers share their faith with at least 10 people over the Christmas holidays, is a major part of this. By training and equipping more lay
people to personally share the Gospel with the people they know and
work with, the need for more churches will increase. Small groups of new believers will grow
into church plants, which will ultimately become bona fide churches.
The lay MITs are playing a major role in helping the churches realize
their goal.
MITs already involved in full- or part-time ministry
are also encouraged to start new small groups with seekers, to invite
their friends to church functions, to work in Christian Summer Camp
outreaches to children and young adults, to participate in English
language clubs to reach the young professionals, and to reach out to
orphans and the elderly.
